Halloween Adventures Part 2

Two weekends ago we went with the Buells to Nightmare on 13th. Bryan and I have gone to this haunted house 3 years in a row (It's our favorite). It's always a good time going places with the Buells. Especially when it involves Halloween because Halloween is both Bryan and Jeff's favorite holiday!

A Night for Frights

Last night Bryan and I began our Halloween Excitement. We went with Conrad and Kali to Thanksgiving Point's Cornbelly's Corn Maze and Cornophobia.

This was my first time going through a Corn Maze. My thoughts. . . .it wasn't easy! To be honest we didn't actually make it out the way we were supposed to. But it was fun :)

The haunted corn maze (Cornophobia) was actually pretty fun. They had things that we haven't experienced at haunted houses before. For example - an abandoned bus.

There are also a lot of kid activities and the tickets you pay for are good for pretty much everything at Cornbelly's. So, it would be fun to take the kids earlier and do the kid activities and then the adults stay for the corn mazes.

We'll keep you posted on our other Halloween adventures.

Wicked

Another belated post - so sad. If you remember my post from last December you'll know that Bryan and I stayed up all night and were the second and third people in line to get tickets to Wicked. It seemed like forever from the time we got the tickets to when we actually got to go to the show! Wicked is the best musical I have ever seen. Ever since we got the tickets I have been listening to the music. I thought I had a pretty good idea of the story line - but apparently I only knew the first half. Almost everyone in the fam got to go. Mom was in town because of little Baby Brooke being born a month early so that was great because mom got to go - but sadly Heather and Jeff couldn't go. Here are some pics to document the experience

After Wicked we went to the Cheesecake factory for dessert. I have to admit I picked the best cheesecake - 30th Anniversary Chocolate Cake Cheesecake mmmm.

Starving Students

Every year Bryan and I buy the starving student card we think we're gonna save so much money. And then a few months go by and we completely forget about the card :( We were cleaning out Bryan's wallet this past weekend and found the card. We decided to get some use out of the card and create a cheap date off of it. There really were so many options! We decided to hit up Winger's for dinner and then over to the Nickelcade. Maybe I'm too much like a 12 year old boy. . . but I had a blast! We were probably on Police Trainer for a half hour - love that game! I don't think we've quite made our money back from the card yet - but I've now added a another resolution to my list: Actually use the starving student card!

On another note. BYU offers free software classes to their employees. I took illustrator. What an amazing program! So I decided to use what I learned (which is not that much) and make a header for the blog. I hope to get better at illustrator and change my header each time I change my background. Oh the fun things in life!!

Wicked Tickets

This is a delayed post. . . but I couldn't post till after Christmas Day because the tickets for Heather were a surprise.

On Thursday the 11th, Bryan and I headed up to Salt Lake City to wait in line for Wicked Tickets. We got there at about 9 pm and waited in line all night long until about 7 am the next morning. We were 2nd and 3rd in line! I couldn't believe we were that close to the front!! I have a very small interview on Fox but quite a bit of camera time.

It was such a fun experience - and it was even better that we could get enough tickets for everyone that wanted them in the family!!

I can not wait for Wicked! Just 4 more months

It was fate!

I regrettably forgot to add one of my addictions to the fabulous blog. . . So You Think You Can Dance!! Tonight for mutual we went to It's a Wonderful Life at Kingsbury Hall - and who was George Bailey - Matt Dorame!!! Matt was seriously one of my favorites from SYTYCD last season - amazing dancer!! I had to ask him for a pic :) I just wish I had my camera instead of my camera phone

Here is Matt's audition video for SYTYCD. Where the magic started!

Fall oh Fall

I am so excited for the fall to begin because that means that the holiday season is right around the corner!

I love the fall because of the colors and the scents (specifically the bath and body works wallflower autumn scents)!!

Bryan loves the fall because of Halloween - he is already researching which haunted houses we should go to!

If anyone knows of the the best haunted houses in Utah - we would love to hear about it :)

Happy Fall to Everyone

Seven Peaks

Bryan and I have pretty much spent every saturday since the hot season began at seven peaks. The whole fam bought season passes!! Here's some videos of Bryan and Elliot going down the scariest slide - as scary as it can be for seven peaks (Katie and I went down it too. . . . but we don't have video)! I apologize for the video being sideways :(
