My True Color

Take this test!
You're brown, a credible, stable color that's reminiscent of fine wood, rich leather, and wistful melancholy. Most likely, you're a logical, practical person ruled more by your head than your heart. With your inquisitive mind and insatiable curiosity, you're probably a great problem solver. And you always gather all of the facts before coming to a timely, informed decision. Easily intrigued, you're constantly finding new ways to challenge your mind, whether it's by reading the newspaper, playing a trivia game, or composing a piece of music. Brown is an impartial, neutral color, which means you tend to see the difference between fact and opinion easily and are open to many points of view. Trustworthy and steady, you really are a brown at heart.

I've been tagged

TEN YEARS AGO:
I was 12 years old and I was living in Yuba City. I was in 7th grade and honestly I don't know if I remember much more than that. I know it was just me and my two sisters living at home and I spent every friday night watching my sister cheerlead at the JV football games. I wish I could remember more :)

FIVE PLACES I HAVE LIVED!
1. Monterrey, CA
2. Thousand Oaks, CA
3. Yuba City, CA
4. Provo, UT
5. Trapper Creek, AK

FIVE THINGS ON MY TO-DO LIST!
1. Finish my essay test for Soc 450
2. Work on my group presentation for Soc 322
3. Make Dinner
4. Clean House
5. Finish my scrapbook Calendar :)

I ENJOY!
resting, vacationing, hanging out with my best friend (husband), sleeping :), scrapbooking, reading good books, watching movies and watching HGTV

TWO BAD HABITS!
1. I procrastinate when I'm stressed about doing something
2. I sleep way longer than I really should :(

FIVE THINGS YOU MIGHT NOT KNOW ABOUT ME!
1. I am an avid Barry Bonds fan and I hold to the fact that it has not been proven that he did roids!
2. I love learning about money. If I could spend all day reading articles about investing and budgeting and planning I probably would. Therefore, my favorite class that I've taken at BYU is this semester. It's personal finance (BusM 200) and it's awesome. My teacher is so knowlegable and I've learned so much. Seriously it's great!!
3. I do NOT want to own any pets for the rest of my life. I grew up with a ton of kittens and I loved it. . . . .but as I've grown up, I've realized that pets are just more trouble then they are enjoyable. Plus I can't stand it when dogs lick me - YUCK!
4. I work in my sleep. Bryan has awoken numerous times to me sitting up in bed and moving around. When he questions me as to what I'm doing (and mind you I'm asleep) I say that I'm doing something related to my job. Like when we were in Alaska and I was Logistics, he woke up to me saying that I was organizing the packets. I'm not sure what my deal is.
5. I hate beans (the brown kind that make your stomach hurt variety - black, refried)! I had never eaten a bean before last year. My sister Cindy made taco soup for dinner and invited me and the husband and I felt bad not eating it. . . .so I had my first meal with beans. I haven't had a bean since that day though and I don't plan on picking up the habit!!

FIVE JOBS THAT I HAVE HAD!
1. Tutor during summer school for kids in kindergarten to 5th grade. Super fun
2. Registrar office specialist. I miss my friends from there . . . . good times!
3. Customer Service Representative for Blue Mountain Insurance (Home and Auto). But really I did the work of an insurance agent. Fun but stressful
4. Logistics for Princess Tours Mt. McKinley, AK lodge. I coordinated how guests arrived and left the lodge. It was a good experience. . . .and I have to admit that I love organizing so it was right up my alley.
5. Health agent assistant at Blue Mountain Insurance. I just started about a week ago and I'm a little nervous about it. We'll see how I do :)

Now I have to tag five people.
Cindy, Katie, Karen, Ashley, Shannon

Happy Valentine Extravaganza!

We had an awesome valentine weekend. Bryan woke me up with heart shaped chocolate chip pancakes. It was so cute! Then we left Thursday evening after class to go to a cabin with Cindy and John and J.J. We spent the whole weekend eating and playing the wii. Cin and I were too cold to go outside - even with Bryan's persistent asking if we wanted to take a walk :) We got home Sunday evening and then prepared to leave again Monday for Salt Lake! We stayed at the Anniversary Inn and ate at the Melting Pot. Best Valentine's ever thanks to my awesome husband!!

J.J.'s Baby Blessing

February 3, 2008

John gave my cute nephew J.J. a beautiful blessing. Both our parents and John's parents came for the blessing. Cindy and John had a full house. It's always fun to have my mom and dad come into town and it was great to see Papa John and Cathy (john's parents) again! J.J. looked so cute in his blessing outfit . . . . but I think he got pretty tired of taking pictures :)

Our Super Bowl Party!

Bryan wasn't sure how long the Seahawks would last in the playoffs so we decided to have our Super Bowl party on Jan 5th, when the Seahawks matched up with the Redskins. The Seahawks made it through the round with a score of 35-14 Seahawks. It was lots of fun watching the game. . . .but I have to admit that I spent most the time scrapbooking with Cindy :) GO SEAHAWKS!!!
